Telecom Associations File Petition for Stay or Extension of Deadline for Study Area Boundary Review

WTA, along with NTCA, ERTA, USTelecom and ITTA filed a Petition for Stay of the FCC Public Notice asking ILECs to review and submit corrects to an online study area map that has overlaps and voids. The associations note that in light of Chairman Wheeler’s announcement regarding the QRA, the collection of this data is of questionable use. In the event the FCC rejects the request for a stay, the associations request a six-month extension of the deadline to submit responses on the map.
