WTA Meets with FCC to Discuss USF, Speed Benchmarks, and LEO Broadband

Last week, WTA staff and representatives from WTA member companies met with FCC Commissioner Olivia Trusty and staff from the offices of Chairman Carr and Commissioner Gomez. They discussed the importance of a stable and predictable Universal Service Fund, WTA’s filing in the Section 706 proceeding advocating for both a near-term and long-term speed benchmark, and the drawbacks of LEO-provided broadband technology.
