WTA Files Comments on Protecting Communications Supply Chain

Today, WTA filed comments in response to the FCC’s Public Notice on securing the communications supply chain against threats to national security.  WTA recommends the FCC put out a Further Notice of Proposal Rulemaking as the previous NPRM on this subject did not contemplate the requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act, as it had yet to be signed into law.  In the recommended FNPRM, WTA asks that the FCC consider ways to assist small carriers that may have to remove and replace costly equipment that has since been deemed a national security threat.
