WTA Congratulates Alan Davidson on Senate Approval

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 11, 2022) – WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband congratulates Alan Davidson, President Biden’s nominee to be the Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), on his Senate confirmation today.

“NTIA has been given an important role by Congress to distribute billions of dollars in broadband funding and it’s key that the agency has a permanent leader,” said Derrick Owens, Senior Vice President of Government & Industry Affairs. “Our member companies look forward to working with the Assistant Secretary to advance the goals of affordable and universal broadband access and to make sure that the various broadband programs NTIA administers are effective.”
