WTA and NTCA Meet with Chairman Pai’s Office to Discuss USF Reform
On May 2, representative from WTA and NTCA met with staff from FCC Chairman Pai’s office. They discussed a list of issues identified in prior meetings that can and should be addressed to ensure that high-cost USF regulation will function as intended. These issues include the local voice service rate floor, the operating expense cap, the imputation of ARCs, competitive overlap, recoverable expenses, and the sufficiency of the current USF High Cost Fund budget for small providers.
