Rural Associations File Reply Comments to FCC’s April FNPRM

Today, NECA, WTA, NTCA, ERTA and 11 state telecom associations filed reply comments in response to the FCC’s April Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on USF reform. The reply comments show that a review of the comments filed in the first round confirms “that the simplest and most straightforward way the Commission can accomplish its goals in this proceeding is to move forward rapidly with adoption of a new CAF support mechanism for rate-of-return local exchange companies consistent with the proposal of the Rural Associations.”
