WTA Supports Keeping Data for Rural Call Completion

On June 19th, WTA filed reply comments in the Rural Call Completion proceeding. WTA raised its concerns with the Commission’s decision to sunset the data reporting rule and its current proposal to sunset the data recording and retention rules that have been effective in reducing the numbers of dropped and otherwise deliberately non-completed calls. WTA called for the Commission to adopt a “wait and see” approach before deciding to sunset the recording and retention rules.
