WTA Members Meet with Chairman Pai’s Office to Discuss BCM

On Oct. 15, representatives from WTA and its member companies discussed with staff from Chairman Pai’s office the need by the approximately 435 rural local exchange carriers that receive HCLS and/or CAF-BLS for relief from the budget control mechanism during the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, or at least for the remainder of the ongoing COVID-19 emergency.  The amount of BCM relief requested is relatively small and would have minimal impact upon USF resources and contributions. See the notice of ex parte for details on estimated impacts.
