WTA Meets with the FCC to Discuss the E-rate Definitions of Rural and Urban

This week, WTA met with wireline advisors to Commissioners Pai, Rosenworcel, and O’Rielly as well as the Wireline Competition Bureau’s E-rate team to discuss WTA’s support Petitions for Reconsideration seeking a modified definition of “rural” and “urban” that would include communities of up to 25,000 people. WTA also urged expedited resolution of the Petitions, as schools and libraries are already preparing their budgets for funding year 2015.
