WTA Meets with FCC’s Wireline Staff to Discuss USF Reforms for RoR Carriers
On December 1, representatives from WTA met with FCC Wireline Competition Bureau staff to discuss the tariff and pricing impacts of potential changes to high-cost support mechanisms for rural carriers. The topics discussed included the potential impact of the voluntary election of the optional Model-based path by RLECs upon subscriber line charges, special access rates and revenues, and participation in NECA pools.
