WTA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION – Monday, September 8, 2008, Seattle, WA

Dear WTA Members and Associate Members,

Each year the Western Telecommunications Alliance (WTA) hosts a silent auction at its Fall Annual meeting in order to raise money for the Bob Adkisson Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Mr. Adkisson was the former President of GVNW Consulting, Inc. who passed away in 2003. Bob was very interested in the continuing education of our youth. In remembrance of Bob and in the spirit of giving, WTA would like for you to consider others this year as a way of increasing the funds of the scholarship foundation. WTA is providing three ways to do this; first, make a cash donation to the scholarship foundation; secondly, purchase or donate a silent auction item that can be easily transported; or third, purchase a memorial plaque for someone that you would like to recognize or show appreciation to.

For example:
• Do you have an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty?
• Do you have a business partner you wish to recognize for outstanding service?
• Do you have a customer that has been outstanding in some way?
• Do you have a Board Member that is retiring or has served many years on your board?

Then, please consider purchasing a memorial plaque to recognize them.

As you know, the cost of a college education is becoming increasingly expensive and the funds raised will make a difference in one of these young person’s lives. You can also help by encouraging all students to strive for top scholastic marks in order to qualify for scholarship awards. Make the award program widely known throughout your company and encourage employees with high school seniors of the current year to apply for the scholarship.

WTA appreciates your support of this scholarship and the difference you are making in a young person’s life.

Respectfully,

Dana Baker
Chairman, Bob Adkisson Scholarship Foundation
