WTA Files Reply Comments in Telehealth Pilot Program Proceeding

On October 10th, WTA filed reply comments in the Commission’s telehealth pilot program proceeding focused on improving the health outcomes of low-income Americans, especially in rural areas, through the use of telehealth solutions. In its filing, WTA reminded the Commission of the importance of the High Cost program in making sure that rural Americans have access to 21st century healthcare. For without the High Cost program, telehealth solutions will never fully reach rural America. WTA also recommended that the goal of the pilot program should be to spur other programs across the country, rather than using it as a means for broadband deployment.
