WTA Sends Letters to House and Senate Appropriations Committee on Rural Broadband Funding
On March 2, WTA sent letters to the leadership of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees to express support for allocating federal dollars specifically for rural broadband infrastructure. The letter notes both the President’s infrastructure proposal and the Congressional Budget Agreement, which proposes to spend $20 billion over two years on infrastructure. WTA is concerned that neither proposal specifically calls for rural broadband investment.
