WTA Applauds House Letter to Chairman Wheeler on Set-Top Box

Today, Derrick Owens, VP of Government Affairs for WTA, released a statement of support for a bipartisan letter to Chairman Wheeler highlighting the negative impacts the FCC’s set-top box proposal will have on small MVPDs and their customers.  The FCC’s proposal to mandate that MVPDs re-configure their networks to provide access to unknowable third-parties not only implicates substantial copyright and privacy concerns but also is only likely to generate substantial costs and stifle ongoing consumer-driven innovation and competition in the marketplace.
