WTA Submits Comments on USDA ReConnect Program

Today, WTA filed comments with the Rural Utilities Service regarding the ReConnect Program, which provides grants and loans to build networks in rural America. In its comments, WTA recommends RUS make areas that have less than 25/3 Mbps broadband speeds eligible for ReConnect funding, not fund networks where the FCC is already funding networks (while allowing recipients of FCC funding to access ReConnect to upgrade their networks), and treat fisheries in the same manner in which farms are treated.
