Rural Associations Meet with FCC on Rural Call Completion

Yesterday, representatives from WTA, NECA, NTCA and OPASTCO met with officials from the Wireline Bureau and Commissioner Clyburn’s office to discuss rural call completion.  Because of the seriousness of the continuing problem, the associations urged the FCC to “adopt a compressed comment cycle in its forthcoming notice and seek expedited publication in the Federal Register.”  In addition, the associations proposed several methods to address the problems.
