Virtual Visits and DC Fly-Ins
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of our society – how we learn, how we work, and how we communicate with one another. WTA’s small group DC Fly-Ins were a key method for keeping policymakers up to date on the broadband infrastructure needs of rural America. But so much has changed, and we’ve changed with it.
Last year we introduced WTA Virtual Visits. Members of Congress and federal agencies continue to meet with constituents, advocacy groups and others by video or teleconference. WTA’s Virtual Visits are another way to stay connected in order to ensure to our elected representatives and other policymakers.
Virtual Visits will connect you and other WTA members directly with key policymakers to discuss the issues most important to your business and our industry. WTA staff will set up the meetings, provide the necessary background information and talking points, and participate in the meetings with you. As we navigate these trying times, it’s important that policymakers hear how you are keeping their constituents connected so they can make more informed public policy decisions.
WTA’s Virtual Visits are open to ALL WTA members, and it’s easy to participate. There are no registration fees to participate so contact eric@w-t-a.org or call 202.548.0202 to schedule your DC Virtual Visit.
WTA will resume in-person Fly-Ins as soon as safely possible, so stay tuned! In the meantime, let’s take action together one virtual group at a time!
