WTA’s Educational Planning Committee Seeks Session Topics and Speakers for 2023 Educational Forums

WTA’s Educational Planning Committee invites you to share your knowledge and expertise with the attendees at the 2023 WTA Spring Educational Forum (April 23-26, 2023, Napa, CA) or 2023 WTA Fall Educational Forum (September 10-13, 2023, Coeur d’Alene, ID). WTA has always offered a remarkable lineup of education and networking opportunities targeting the needs and concerns of the WTA membership.

SUBMISSION PROCESS:
The deadline for submitting session proposals for the Spring Educational Forum is Friday, December 9th, and the deadline for submitting session proposals for the Fall Educational Forum is June 2nd. All proposals must be submitted through the 2023 Educational Session Submission link below. Incomplete proposals will not be considered. A separate proposal must be submitted for each proposed session.

WTA Spring Forum Registration & Payment

Register for WTA’s Educational Forum by clicking Register & Payment below. Once you have completed the Registration process, you will have the opportunity to pay via credit card or request to be invoiced. Payment for invoices must be received within 10 days to avoid increased registration fees.

Spring Registration Information

  • Telco Member Registration:
    $899 by February 28 / after February 28 $999 / $1,099 at-the-door
    • Registration includes admittance into all educational sessions and receptions scheduled (does not include golf).
  • Associate Members Sponsoring Registration:
    $899 by February 28 / $999 after February 28 / $1,099 at-the-door
    • Registration includes admittance into all educational sessions and receptions (does not include golf). Associate Members who sponsor a minimum of $2,000 will receive this registration. Sponsoring registration discounts are noted on the registration form.
  • Associate Members NON-Sponsoring Registration:
    $1,099 by February 28 / $1,199 after February 28 / $1,299 at-the-door
    • Registration includes admittance into all educational sessions and receptions (does not include golf).
  • Not a WTA Telco Member Registration:
    $1,399 by February 28 / $1,499 after February 28 / $1,599 at-the-door
    • Registration includes admittance into all educational sessions, receptions, and breaks (does not include golf).
  • Not a WTA Associate Member Registration:
    $1,899 by February 28 / $1,999 after February 28 / $2,099 at-the-door
    • Registration includes admittance into all educational sessions, and receptions (does not include golf).
  • Spouse/Guest/Children 10 and older Registration (not a telco, broadband provider, association, vendor or employee in the industry):
    $150 by February 28 / $160 after February 28
    • Registration includes Welcome Reception, Dessert Reception, and breaks (does not include golf). Single event tickets will not be available for purchase. In order to avoid your guest(s) from being asked to leave a WTA function, please make sure they are registered and paid.
  • WTA Golf Tournament – Monday, April 24th
    $130 by February 28 / $140 after February 28 / or $150 at-the-door (if space available)
    • Includes greens fee, cart fee, range balls, tournament service, box lunch. Beverage carts will circulate during the tournament. The conference full/social registration fee is required in addition to your golf fee to participate in the tournament.

Cancellation Policy and Liability

WTA will refund 50% of registration fees (golf and sponsorships will not receive any refund) if written notice of cancellation (kelly@w-t-a.org) is received on or before March 1, 2023 (phone call cancellations will not be accepted). No refunds will be made for cancellation requests received after March 1, 2023.

It is mutually agreed that WTA is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property, or personal injuries resulting from any cause. All claims for any such loss, damage or injury are expressly waived by the attendee or exhibitor.

Marriott Napa Valley is the WTA Spring Educational Forum Headquarters

Experience the charm and beauty of California’s world-famous wine country from one of the premier Napa Valley hotels – the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa. The hotel is located just off of Highway 29, making the Marriott an ideal choice for exploring the Napa Wine Country and other exciting local activities and attractions after a long day of educational sessions.

WTA has contracted a limited number of rooms directly with the Napa Valley Marriott. WTA will not have the opportunity to increase the number of contracted rooms once the group block is full. Be sure to check the hotel’s tax, hotel/resort fees, parking fees, additional persons charge and cancellation policies when making your reservations.

HOTEL RATES:
Run of House Rooms are available at $229 per night, based on single or double occupancy. Hotel room rates are subject to the $20.00 daily destination amenity fee, state and local taxes applicable at the time of check in. Rates may be available three days pre/post, if rooms are available in the group block.

DEPOSIT/CANCELLATION:
The Hotel may require a one- or two-night’s room deposit at the time of booking. If an advanced deposit is required, be sure to confirm the Hotel’s reservation early departure and cancellation policy. Rates apply only to those registered and attending the WTA Spring Educational Forum. Hotel check-in time begins at 4:00p. Hotel check-out time is 11:00a.

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE:
The Hotel may add an early checkout fee of one room night and tax to the guest’s individual account for early departures. Attendees wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Hotel at least fourteen (14) days prior to arrival to avoid an early departure fee. Be sure to review the Hotel’s early departure policy.

WTA Spring Golf Tournament | Monday, April 24th

Start: Check In 12:00pm and Shot Gun Start is at 1:00pm.

Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards is an 18-hole semi-private golf facility located Southeast of the city of Napa in Jameson Canyon at the gateway to the world-renowned Napa Valley wine district.

Unlike virtually all courses today, Chardonnay’s golfers are not asked to play amidst any private residences. Our 18-holes of semi-private championship golf offer a variety of challenges for players of all skill levels. The 18-hole layout features a unique blend of golf holes consisting of six par 5’s, six par 4’s and six par 3’s that meander through over 150 acres of Chardonnay, Merlot & Pinot Noir vineyards and feature numerous lakes, creek crossing and a wide variety of native trees, shrubs, and wildlife. Several areas of the property are designed as wildlife preserves and are dedicated to maintaining wildlife habitat among the vineyards and fairways.

Cost Per Player: $130 by February 28/$140 after February 28 or at-the-door if space is available for $150. Includes greens fee, cart fee, range balls, tournament service, box lunch. Beverage carts will circulate during the tournament. The conference full/social registration fee is required in addition to your golf fee to participate in the tournament.

Teams: Pairing requests will not be accepted. Golf pairings will be selected as follows: All associate member and member golfers will be divided evenly among all the teams. Spouses will be paired together.

A minimum of 60 golfers will be required for a shotgun start. Be sure to check with the WTA Registration Desk prior to the Tournament to verify rules, teams and shot gun start/tee times. Proper golf attire required (including Practice Facilities) to include collared shirts and spikeless shoes. Rental club information will be provided to all golfers at least 30 days prior to the tournament.

Spring Educational Forum Attire

Resort casual is the dress throughout WTA’s Spring Educational Forum (unless otherwise noted). Just as a reminder it is difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature for everyone in the meeting rooms. Please bring a jacket or sweater for your comfort.

RUS Meetings Available

Private meetings with RUS representatives from Washington, DC will be scheduled on Monday and Tuesday. WTA invites you to take advantage of these one-on-one meetings. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete the RUS information on the Registration Form to schedule your meeting times.
